About Marques de Murrieta

Marqués de Murrieta is a Spanish winery located in the Rioja wine region. Founded in 1852, it has a long history and tradition in the production of high-quality wines.

The winery is recognized for the production of high-end red wines, such as its best-known wine, the "Castillo Ygay Gran Reserva Especial". This wine is the result of a careful selection of grapes from the Ygay estate and has been recognized with numerous awards and acknowledgements at national and international levels.

In addition to Castillo Ygay Gran Reserva Especial, Marqués de Murrieta also produces other high-quality wines, such as "Reserva", "Finca Ygay" and "Dalmau", among others. Each of these wines is the result of a careful selection of grapes, traditional production methods and long ageing in oak barrels.

The winery also has a 300-hectare farm where the grapes used in the production of its wines are grown. The estate is located in a privileged area of the Rioja region and has a great diversity of soils and microclimates that allow it to produce high-quality grapes.
